1973 Maico 400 Motocross

This bike was ridden
in the 500cc Expert Class at Irwindale and Ascot Park in 1973 by
Kelly Owen. 25 years later at a gathering, the original sponsor and
provider of the bike was asked by Kelly, 'Whatever happened to the two Maicos that you provided way back when?' His answer was priceless,
'If you want them, I still have them; and they still have your original
racing numbers on them.' They were retrieved from an open field
within 4 hours. This is the best of the two with all the
WheelSmith options. |
